About Us
Harvest Baking is a specialty bakery started by San Francisco pastry and culinary chefs, Tim and Lulu Ottaviani. Our goal is to provide freshly baked goods styled after American and European favorites like scones, breakfast breads, and sweet and hearty grain breads. We also make classic favorites like fudge brownies, homemade cookies, and a selection of cakes and tarts. Our passion is to give back to the Vietnamese whose lives are less fortunate than most. By supporting Harvest Baking you are providing jobs and life skills for highly motivated, under educated Vietnamese. Harvest Baking recognizes the great need to give back to the country and community in which we serve and operate. This passion is reached through baking bread. The secret to making great bread is the people who make it. The same care that goes into creating a perfect loaf of bread is the same care we apply when nurturing our Harvest Baking team. Before a baker puts on an apron, we educate them in developing a palate for tasting different ingredients. They learn to recognize the characteristics of the breads, and are trained to bring forth the highest quality products and services. Through our program, our bakers have a sense of self-worth, learn the rewards of hard work, and grow in their appreciation of each other and the job they do. Harvest Baking looks for low educated individuals who are highly motivated and willing to learn a skill.
