• Mentoring

The GEP provides the young engineers opportunity to learn experiential learning from a mentor & mentee relationship. The graduates are young and have little or no professional experience. Consequently, they might need special support to grow into their business environment. Hence each graduate will therefore have a mentor appointed by the home country organization (for the complete duration of the program). You will be coupled with a buddy, who will understand what you are going through and give you valuable advice for your career development.

• Diverse rotations

You will experience at least two rotations in a different division/ business unit in Vietnam and the last rotation will be an overseas rotation. After rotations, you will be equipped with multi-functional mindset and cross-function sense and relationship, which facilitate how you handle jobs in the future.

Program Structure

The GEP is consequently designed to provide meaningful work experience in engineering through exposure to a variety of functions in ABB operations in the countries. The duration of the program is 18 months, divided into three (3) assignments – each 6 month period to be according to the following basic scheme, 2 domestic rotations in each of division PP, PA, PS, LP, DM, FES and 1 overseas rotation into each of the following countries NZ, AU, SG, PH, TL, IN, MY.

Who can apply?

– Recent Graduates holding a Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree (fresh or up to 1 year of working experience by the time of application)

– GPA from 70% and above

– Majoring in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical & Electronics)

Good language skills (English or additional languages welcome)

– Mature balanced personality with clear and realistic career objective

– Good communicators with persistency and welcome ideas from other team members

– Ambitious, curious and open with a wide area of interest

– Internationally minded, social and intercultural competency
